Speech Language Pathologist – Part-Time Position (Des Plaines, IL Area)

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a part-time position with school districts in the Des Plaines, IL area. Position Requirements:
To apply, candidates must meet the following local and state requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active Illinois State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• ASHA Certification (or equivalent state credentials)

• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting

• Ability to pass background checks and meet any district-specific requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments to determine students' needs

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders

• Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' academic and social goals

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and treatment plans

• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide recommendations

• Monitor and adjust therapy interventions based on student progress
