Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with partner school districts in the Emporia, KS area. Position Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be eligible for this role, including:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Current Kansas license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)

  • Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) licensure for school-based practice

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates may also be considered

  • Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprint clearance

  • Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening, as required by the school district


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Provide direct therapy services and interventions in accordance with IEP goals

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development

  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district policies

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning

  • Provide consultative services to staff and parents regarding speech/language development
