Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with partner school districts in the Emporia, KS area. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be eligible for this role, including:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Current Kansas license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) licensure for school-based practice
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates may also be considered
Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprint clearance
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening, as required by the school district
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy services and interventions in accordance with IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district policies
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
Provide consultative services to staff and parents regarding speech/language development
