School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Fort Pierce, Florida

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in dynamic school environments near Fort Pierce, FL. These contract opportunities focus on covering maternity leaves for the upcoming academic year and offer a rewarding chance to make a difference in students communication and learning experiences.

Youll have the opportunity to work at one of two schools, each with its own unique caseload and age group focus:

• Palm Pointe (K-8, Port St. Lucie): Cover a maternity leave from October 5th to December 18th. Collaborate with a fellow SLP on-site and serve a diverse K-8 population, including multiple ASD units.
• Ft. Pierce Central High School: Support high school students, working alongside an SLPA two days per week. This assignment covers a maternity leave from September through October 20th.

What Were Looking For:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active FL SLP Licensure (ASHA CCC required)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Ability to manage and prioritize diverse caseloads independently
• Strong team orientation and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for students
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with district standards
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Support students with ASD and varied communication disorders

Additional Details:

• 35 hours per week (7 hours/day, Monday through Friday)
• Assignment to a single school site per contract
• On-site support and collaboration opportunities
• Fingerprinting required (may transfer from previous AHCA Clearinghouse records)
