Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions within school districts in the Galt, CA area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ speech and communication development in a collaborative educational environment.
Typical responsibilities for this school-based role include:
Administering assessments and evaluating students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Providing direct therapy to students in individual or small group settings.
Documenting student progress and maintaining detailed service records.
Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support educational goals.
Participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
Ensuring compliance with California state education standards and federal IDEA regulations.
Candidates must meet all California state and local requirements, including:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB).
Valid California Teaching Credential, such as the Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing or a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may also be considered.
Ability to pass required background checks (California DOJ, FBI, and TB clearance).
Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required.
