Job Overview – What You’ll Do:
Work within a school-based setting to assess and treat speech and language disorders
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in small groups
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support academic success
Document student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and adjust interventions as needed
Qualifications & Certifications (Louisiana Requirements):
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Current license from the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA)
Certification through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) may be required for some school positions
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants are welcome to apply
