Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Connecticut SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Experience with a broad range of speech and language disorders
  • Commitment to professional growth and ongoing education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals
  • Develop and deliver customized intervention plans for students with communication needs
  • Monitor student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
  • Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student success
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all school and state regulations
  • Offer support through consultation and workshops for staff and families
