Speech Language Pathologist in Hyattsville, MD

Step into a dynamic setting with immediate opportunities for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to make a difference in school communities. Multiple schools have openings, and schedules may be combined to create a full-time role. Assignments are available at the high school, elementary, and middle school levels, offering diverse experiences and lasting connections with students.

Currently, the needs are as follows:

• Wilde Lake High School: 4 days/week (with potential for a full 5 days at one site)
• Forest Ridge Elementary: 4 days/week (with potential to move to 5 days at one site)
• Hammond Middle School: 3 days/week

This contract spans until June 9th, 2027, with a typical schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The roles are available for immediate start.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in school-based settings strongly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Candidates must be available to work onsite (remote work is not being considered at this time)
• Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to students individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and goals
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district standards
• Participate in IEP meetings to advocate for and shape student services
• Adapt therapy approaches to a wide range of student ages and needs
