Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based – Kansas City, MO

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Raytown, MO for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This is a contract position running from August 13, 2025 through May 22, 2026.

This role will be split 60/40 between two elementary school buildings, with a combined caseload of approximately 35 students. Prior school-based experience is preferred, and experience working with special education students and families is highly valued.

Position Overview:

• Location: Raytown, MO

• Schedule: Full-time, on-site

• Contract Dates: August 13, 2025 – May 22, 2026

• Caseload: Approx. 35 students across two elementary schools

• Setting: 60/40 split between two buildings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

• Active Missouri state licensure and ASHA certification (or eligibility)

• School-based SLP experience preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with IEPs, AAC, and special education supports

• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups

• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student progress

• Document service delivery and student progress in accordance with district guidelines

• Support students with articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication challenges
