Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based – Kansas City, MO
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Raytown, MO for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This is a contract position running from August 13, 2025 through May 22, 2026.
This role will be split 60/40 between two elementary school buildings, with a combined caseload of approximately 35 students. Prior school-based experience is preferred, and experience working with special education students and families is highly valued.
Position Overview:
Location: Raytown, MO
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
Contract Dates: August 13, 2025 – May 22, 2026
Caseload: Approx. 35 students across two elementary schools
Setting: 60/40 split between two buildings
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active Missouri state licensure and ASHA certification (or eligibility)
School-based SLP experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with IEPs, AAC, and special education supports
Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student progress
Document service delivery and student progress in accordance with district guidelines
Support students with articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication challenges
