Speech Language Pathologist in Long Beach, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services within a dynamic school setting near Long Beach, CA. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through June 4, 2027, offering stability and the chance to make a substantial impact in student growth and communication development. Working full-time (40 hours/week, 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday), youll serve an itinerant caseload spanning 1-4 schoolsaveraging two campuseswith a maximum commute capped at 1 hour or 20 miles.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will focus on serving a caseload of approximately 55-60 students, working collaboratively with dedicated case managers and educational teams. Early career professionals holding their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply, provided a supervisor is in place; supervision will be arranged for eligible candidates. Assessment materials necessary for the role will be reimbursed.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active California SLP license
• Valid CTC document on file (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
• Open to both CCC-SLPs and CFs (with supervision secured)
• Willingness to travel to a few schools within defined commute limits
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population, PreK-12th grade
• Collaborate with on-site case managers and interdisciplinary teams
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and therapy sessions, with costs for assessment materials reimbursed
• Maintain required documentation and support student IEP goals
