Special Education Teacher – Extended School Year
Location: McKeesport, PA
Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
Setting: Onsite

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a part-time role during the Extended School Year (ESY) program with school districts in the McKeesport, Pennsylvania area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a supportive team in a structured academic environment.
  
Details: 

• Location: McKeesport, PA
• Part Time: 24 hours per week
• Caseload: K-12 caseload, conducting testing and evaluations. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Active Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certificate in Special Education (PK-8 or 7-12, depending on grade level assignment)
• Compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements, including:
• FBI Criminal History Record
• Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
• Child Abuse Clearance
• Previous experience in a school-based or special education setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Provide specialized instruction to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Modify and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
