School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Metairie, Louisiana

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required)
• Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Ability to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing
• Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy and intervention services to students (caseload details and age groups TBD)
• Conduct evaluations to determine student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support each students educational goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to meet district, state, and federal requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
