Schedule: Full-Time Contract
Pay: Starting at $40/hour
Blazer Jobs is partnering with a forward-thinking school district in the New Orleans area to hire a dynamic High School Science Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to empower students in grades 9–12 through engaging science instruction while contributing to an inclusive and academically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach one or more science subjects, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Science
Design and deliver lessons that align with Louisiana state standards
Evaluate student learning and provide consistent feedback
Participate in IEP meetings and intervention planning as needed
Collaborate with educators, families, and school leaders to support student development
Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, curiosity, and academic success
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education or a related field
Valid Louisiana teaching certification in Secondary Science (Grades 6–12)
Prior experience teaching high school students is strongly preferred
Demonstrated classroom management and communication skills
