High School Science Teacher – Inspire the Next Generation | 2025–2026 School Year

Location: New Orleans Area, LA
Schedule: Full-Time Contract
Pay: Starting at $40/hour

Blazer Jobs is partnering with a forward-thinking school district in the New Orleans area to hire a dynamic High School Science Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to empower students in grades 9–12 through engaging science instruction while contributing to an inclusive and academically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach one or more science subjects, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Science

• Design and deliver lessons that align with Louisiana state standards

• Evaluate student learning and provide consistent feedback

• Participate in IEP meetings and intervention planning as needed

• Collaborate with educators, families, and school leaders to support student development

• Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, curiosity, and academic success

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education or a related field

• Valid Louisiana teaching certification in Secondary Science (Grades 6–12)

• Prior experience teaching high school students is strongly preferred

• Demonstrated classroom management and communication skills
