We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team and provide specialized services to students in need of speech and language support.
Position Overview: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This position requires a collaborative approach to working with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop individualized programs that promote effective communication skills and enhance academic performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and educational strategies for students with communication disorders.
Provide individual and group therapy to address speech, language, and social communication goals.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to ensure that communication goals are integrated into the general education curriculum.
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
Provide consultation to staff and parents on communication strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support student success.
Maintain accurate records of therapy services, student progress, and other required documentation in compliance with school district policies and regulations.
Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and other collaborative meetings to support student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Experience working with students in a school setting (preferred).
Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to manage caseloads, track progress, and adjust therapy approaches as needed.
