Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join a school district in the Oakland, California area for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. Position Summary:
This role involves providing speech-language therapy and support services to K-12 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. Virtual and travel-based assignments may be considered for qualified applicants seeking flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Active California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
Must meet California Department of Education standards for working in school settings
Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly desirable
