School Speech Language Pathologist - Palmetto, FL

Help support student success in an engaging educational setting by providing essential speech-language therapy services to school-aged children. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week spread across two vibrant school campuses. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within supportive school communities.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
• School-based SLP experience or enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites with different age groups and caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students aged pre-K through middle school
• Independently manage caseloads of approximately 50 students at Buffalo Creek Middle (including low cognitive and behavior units) and collaborate at Prine Elementary with an SLP and SLPA on a broader caseload of around 95 students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on intervention strategies
• Document progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with teachers, families, and support staff
