School Speech Language Pathologist - Paterson, New Jersey

Make an impact in education as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting an elementary school caseload for a well-established district. This contract opportunity features a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, running from your start date through June 25, 2027. Youll work primarily with elementary-aged students at a school-based setting, providing essential speech and language services to help students thrive.

What were looking for:

• Valid New Jersey licensure as an SLP (CCC required)
• Demonstrated experience working as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist
• Confidence and comfort adapting to district procedures and culture
• Ability to perform comprehensive testing, evaluations, and assessments
• Capacity to manage and service a dynamic elementary caseload
• Candidates must provide their own testing materials
• Reliable transportation and a manageable commute to the site
• No Clinical Fellows or SLPA candidates due to limited supervision

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to elementary students
• Conduct assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Complete and document required evaluations, progress notes, and IEP-related paperwork
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and district staff to support student success
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and district compliance standards

Onboarding Requirements:

• Current TB screening and physical exam
• Fingerprinting for both agency and district clearance
