School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Plainfield, New Jersey

This contract role will cover a medical leave beginning October 1st, 2026, and is anticipated through November 20th, 2026, with the possibility of continuing through the semester. Located near Plainfield, NJ, this position offers the chance to work directly with students, collaborating alongside a supportive educational team.

What youll bring:

• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• New Jersey Department of Education certification required
• Previous experience supporting students in a school setting
• Familiarity working with PreK12 students, including those who are nonverbal
• Preferred background in low-tech AAC devices
• Availability to shadow the current SLP for a seamless transition
• Commitment to in-person service delivery (virtual/VOCO not permitted)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of approximately 40 students across all grade levels
• Conducting evaluations, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster student communication growth
• Providing direct therapy sessions with sensitivity to students unique needs
• Documenting progress and contributing to IEP meetings, as needed
