This contract position is set near Raleigh, NC, and offers the chance to make a difference in a school-based environment, with a caseload of 38 students experiencing mild to moderate speech and communication challenges.

Work Monday through Friday on-site, contributing your expertise to help students overcome barriers and reach their full communicative potential. The assignment runs from August 21, 2023, through May 26, 2024, and features a competitive compensation range of $37-$41 per hour, with 37.5 hours weekly.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current North Carolina state license as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by ASHA
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFY) are welcomed to apply
  • Previous experience working in school settings is ideal, but not required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language assessments, therapy, and intervention to middle school-age students
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student progress
  • Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and monitor student documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to ensure students receive optimal services
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
