Speech Language Pathologist in Ruskin, FL

Step into a rewarding role supporting students communication and academic growth in a vibrant educational setting in the Ruskin and Bradenton area. Two Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to provide dedicated, on-site services across a pair of schools, beginning as soon as possible and running through May 27, 2027. This is a full-time contract position, offering 35 weekly hours spent making a meaningful difference to children and their families.

Your expertise will directly benefit diverse student populations:

• At Buffalo Creek Middle School, serve a caseload of approximately 50 students receiving direct therapy, with around 10 more on consult, including those in low cognitive and behavior units.
• At Prine Elementary, collaborate with a seasoned SLP and a fantastic SLPA. The role covers intensive Pre-K, ASD, integrated, and ESE classroomssupporting an initial caseload of up to 95 across the SLP team.

What were seeking:

• Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy (serving middle and elementary population)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive among supportive staff
• Commitment to on-site presence for the duration of the assignment
• Comfortable working with students who have a range of needs, including intensive support classrooms

What youll accomplish:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic services to eligible students
• Participate in IEP meetings and work collaboratively with special education teams
• Offer consultative input to staff and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records
