About the Opportunity:
Are you a highly motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding contract opportunity in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills? We are actively seeking a dedicated SLP to join a supportive school district in Placerville, CA, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is a unique hybrid role, offering flexibility and a chance to make a significant impact on student communication development.
Caseload/Details:
- California SLP License is required. (Must be willing to obtain licensure in the working state for all travel assignments).
- Required to travel between multiple school sites within the Placerville area (district travel reimbursement provided!).
- The caseload will most likely consist of Pre-K and Elementary school-aged students, with the potential to also work with older students.
- This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of on-site and remote responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
- Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings.
- Adapting therapy approaches for both in-person and remote delivery.
Special Requirements:
- Active California SLP License is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for managing multiple sites.
- Experience with a range of communication disorders in a school-based setting.
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and technology is a plus.
