Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role with partner school districts in the Santa Maria, California area. We are looking for compassionate professionals who are dedicated to helping students thrive through effective communication support in an educational setting.


Position Overview:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

  • Location: Santa Maria, California

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Contract Renewal: Based on performance for the upcoming school year


Qualifications & Requirements:

Applicants must meet all California state and local requirements for school-based speech-language pathology practice, including:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)

  • California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (required for public school service)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred

  • Clear background check and fingerprint clearance (Live Scan)

  • TB test clearance

  • School-based experience preferred


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and screenings for students with speech and language impairments

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams

  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to students' individual needs

  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ communication goals

  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
