Youll work directly with a diverse learner population, utilizing your bilingual Spanish and English skills to connect with students and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to a middle school caseload (approximately 45 students), with caseload specifics determined by assigned sites
  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
  • Facilitate consultation with teachers and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Participate actively in faculty and team meetings, providing expertise in speech and language development
  • May serve one school or travel between multiple middle school sites, based on district needs

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
  • Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred

This position offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), but part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
