Job Description:
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students of varying ages and abilities. The role includes collaborating with special education teams, parents, and administrators to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations
Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
Provide direct and consultative therapy services
Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Federal and Florida State Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
Active Florida SLP License or eligibility
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Background clearance (Level II)
Authorization to work in the U.S.
