Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions with trusted school districts in the Houston, Texas area. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
Hold a valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred (CFYs may also be considered)
Must pass background checks and fingerprinting as required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
Prior school-based or pediatric experience is strongly preferred
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with each student’s IEP
Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate student progress
Document student performance and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
