Mississippi Schools Hiring Speech-Language Pathologists for the 2025–2026 School Year – Partner with Blazer Jobs
Blazer Jobs is working in collaboration with school districts across Mississippi to recruit dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. SLPs play an essential role in Mississippi schools by helping students build the communication and language skills they need for both academic and social success. You’ll work with a range of age groups, participate in evaluations, contribute to IEP development, and collaborate with educators and families to support student growth.
Current hiring locations include Jackson, Gulfport, Hattiesburg, Tupelo, Southaven, Meridian, and surrounding districts.
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for K–12 students
Deliver therapy services aligned with individualized education plans
Create and revise treatment strategies in accordance with Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) standards
Monitor student outcomes and maintain full compliance with state and federal guidelines
Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to coordinate student services
Provide supervision to SLP Assistants (if allowed under state licensure regulations)
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Active Mississippi SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes required for school settings
Experience working with school-aged children preferred
Must satisfy district background checks and fingerprinting requirements
Positions available for both part-time and full-time schedules
Contracted for the full school year (August 2025 – June 2026)
