Contract School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Danbury, CT

 

Are you a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a rewarding contract opportunity in a supportive school environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic SLP to join a collaborative team in Danbury, Connecticut, for the upcoming academic year. Discipline: Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Location: Danbury, CT Dates: August 26, 2025 – June 19, 2026 Hours: Monday-Friday / 32 hours weekly

Caseload:

You will be working with an elementary school caseload, serving approximately 50 students. This will involve providing comprehensive speech and language services to support their communication development and academic success.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) that address student needs.

  • Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.

  • Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school professionals.

  • Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings.

  • Consulting with school staff on strategies to facilitate communication development within the classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • Active Connecticut Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License is required.

  • Connecticut Department of Education (DOE) Certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist (#061) is required.

  • Recent school-based experience is preferred.

Compensation:

For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $45-$65 based on experience.
