Embark on a rewarding school-based assignment where your SLP expertise will positively impact students in the Waukegan, IL area. This contract position offers you the opportunity to work on-site with a supportive educational team, filling an essential need for in-person speech-language pathology services.

Beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 4th, 2027, youll have a consistent schedule (35 hours per week) providing dedicated support to students. With the district moving away from virtual SLP services, your presence on campus will help foster student success and make a real difference in their daily learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
  • Experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to school-aged children
  • Conduct student assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and ongoing professional development
  • Support a positive learning environment and advocate for student needs
