Job Overview – What You’ll Do:
Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students within a school setting
Assess and diagnose communication disorders, both speech and language related
Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
Conduct therapy sessions in individual and group formats
Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications & Certifications (Florida Requirements):
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Active Florida SLP license issued by the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
Certification (or eligibility) from the Florida Department of Education if required by the school district
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
