Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Tampa, FL Area

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Tampa, FL area. We are seeking a qualified professional who is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and reach their full potential in an educational environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Must possess an active Florida Department of Health license in Speech Language Pathology

  • Must hold or be eligible for a Florida Educator Certificate (temporary or professional) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Impaired (Speech-Language Pathology PK–12)

  • Must have experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting

  • Applicants must meet all state and local school district requirements, including:

    • Level II fingerprint background screening through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)

    • Compliance with local onboarding procedures and school district credentialing

    • TB screening and general health clearance, if required

    • Proof of U.S. work authorization

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for students with communication challenges

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations

  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and parent-teacher meetings as needed

  • Contribute to school-wide efforts to support communication development and intervention
