Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Tampa, FL Area
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Tampa, FL area. We are seeking a qualified professional who is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and reach their full potential in an educational environment.
Required Qualifications:
Must hold a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Must possess an active Florida Department of Health license in Speech Language Pathology
Must hold or be eligible for a Florida Educator Certificate (temporary or professional) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Impaired (Speech-Language Pathology PK–12)
Must have experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
Applicants must meet all state and local school district requirements, including:
Level II fingerprint background screening through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
Compliance with local onboarding procedures and school district credentialing
TB screening and general health clearance, if required
Proof of U.S. work authorization
Typical Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for students with communication challenges
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and parent-teacher meetings as needed
Contribute to school-wide efforts to support communication development and intervention
