Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time role with school districts in the West Chicago, IL area. We are seeking skilled professionals to provide essential speech and language services to students in need.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following Illinois state and local requirements:
Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Possess an active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
Have experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in an educational setting
Meet all local district onboarding requirements, including background checks and clearances (FBI, Child Abuse, Illinois State Police)
Applicants who do not meet the outlined requirements will not be considered for this role.
Typical Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language evaluations for students
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech or language disorders
Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
Offer consultation to staff regarding speech and language development and strategies
Assist with the development of accommodations and modifications to meet students' needs
