Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic team of professionals providing school-based services for students in grades K–12 throughout Chicago, IL, for the 2025–2026 academic year. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders to support academic success and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with state and federal regulations
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings across various grade levels
Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, administrators, and families to support student communication goals
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team consultations
Maintain accurate records of services, progress reports, and required documentation
Support students with a variety of communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication
Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Active Illinois SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to the start of the school year
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered with supervision
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment
