Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in New Orleans, LA for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position will support students in grades K–12 by providing direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and thrives in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP
• Follow documented treatment plans and goals outlined in students' IEPs
• Collect and record data on student performance and progress
• Assist in preparing therapy materials and documentation
• Support classroom integration and communication skill development
• Maintain professional communication with students, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current Louisiana licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow direction, work independently, and contribute to a team-based approach

Contract Details:

• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• 2025–2026 school year
• Hourly pay: $44–$49 based on experience
