Job Overview:

A school district in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their team as soon as possible through the end of the 2024–2025 school year. The position covers a K–12 caseload, and candidates are welcome to share any grade-level preferences they may have. The district provides direct supervision in accordance with state and ASHA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP

• Provide direct services to students across K–12 settings

• Document student progress and maintain accurate records

• Collaborate with the supervising SLP, educators, and support staff

• Support students in achieving IEP goals and developing communication skills

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

• Valid SLPA license or authorization to practice in the state of Nebraska

• School-based experience preferred but not required

• Strong organizational and communication skills
