Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Federal Way, WA

Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting a dynamic educational community for the 20262027 academic year, serving students in a middle school environment near Federal Way, WA. This full-time opportunity spans from ASAP through June 23, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week.

In this position, youll collaborate closely with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services to a caseload of 3540 middle school students. Your interpersonal skills and passion for student growth will help facilitate communication development and enhance learning experiences within a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Washington SLPA license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensure and OSPI fingerprint clearance.
• Experience supporting middle school students is preferred but not requiredenthusiasm for working with this age group is essential.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to follow SLP direction and maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy as directed by the supervising virtual SLP.
• Support and track individual student progress, adapting services as needed.
• Assist in developing materials and exercises for therapy sessions.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to support student IEP goals.
• Maintain compliance with required documentation and reporting.
