Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time position with partner school districts in the Kent, WA area. This school-based opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about helping students strengthen their communication skills and succeed in the classroom.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Washington state and local requirements, including:
Active Washington SLPA credential issued by the Washington State Department of Health
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program
Must be supervised by a licensed SLP per state guidelines
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting through Washington State Patrol and OSPI
Authorization to work in the United States
Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Typical Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Support the implementation of IEP goals and treatment plans
Provide individual or small group therapy in educational settings
Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
Assist with screenings, data collection, and preparation of materials
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff and families
