Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time position with partner school districts in the Lexington, VA area. This is a great opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting student communication development in a collaborative school-based environment.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Virginia state and local requirements, including:
Active Virginia SLPA license issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program
Must be supervised by a licensed SLP in accordance with state regulations
Background check and fingerprint clearance through the Virginia Department of Education
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Previous school-based experience preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Support the implementation of IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
Conduct therapy sessions in individual and group settings
Assist with documentation, data collection, and preparation of therapy materials
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Participate in team meetings as appropriate
