Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Missouri City, TX

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This position serves elementary through high school aged students for the upcoming academic year, with on-site responsibilities in the area near Missouri City, TX. The selected professional will primarily be assigned to one school, with occasional coverage for another as needed. The Director will consider your residential location when determining your primary campus.

Your expertise will contribute to a caseload averaging 8090 students, with adjustments based on school enrollment and your experience. Prior exposure to AAC devices is highly valued. Flexibility for full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time schedules (close to 30 hours/week) is available, providing an ideal fit for your lifestyle.

Qualifications:

• Valid professional licensure as an SLPA
• School-based experience preferred, especially with elementary, middle, and high school populations
• Familiarity with AAC devices in an educational setting strongly desired
• Ability to manage varied caseloads efficiently and compassionately
• Meets state requirements for fingerprinting and background check
• Strong collaborative and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language services under the direction of a supervising SLP in accordance with students IEPs
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and support compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Travel as necessary between designated sites (typically one primary, with rare floating)
• Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and relevant professional development
