Position Overview

BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide maternity leave coverage in a supportive Houston-area school district. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development while working within a collaborative educational environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students' communication goals.

  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress and assist in preparing reports for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

  • Support Diverse Caseloads: Engage with students across various grade levels and communication needs, adapting strategies to meet individual requirements.

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or a related field.

  • Licensure: Valid Texas SLPA license.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
