Position Overview

Blazer Jobs is seeking a motivated and licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech services across school sites in Oakland, California for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time opportunity offers meaningful hands-on experience working under the supervision of an SLP, helping students meet their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as directed by supervising SLP

• Implement IEP-based therapy plans in small group and one-on-one settings

• Collect data and maintain documentation on student progress

• Assist in preparing therapy materials and scheduling sessions

• Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and families

• Adhere to district and state compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Active California SLPA License (Required)

• Associate’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field

• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings (preferred)

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Ability to work independently under the supervision of an SLP
