Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team serving students in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL area. This full-time position involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to help students achieve their communication goals in an educational setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and committed to supporting student development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Assist in implementing treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students in improving articulation, language, fluency, and social communication skills
  • Collect data on student progress and document session notes accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of speech and language goals
  • Maintain appropriate records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active Florida SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow treatment protocols
  • Organized, reliable, and adaptable to changing school environments
