School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Shawnee, Kansas

This unique opportunity allows you to work throughout the district, supporting Speech-Language Pathologists as they effectively manage larger caseloads. In this flexible role, you will cover up to three schools, commuting between campuses to deliver essential communication therapy services. The contract runs from now through 5/21/27, providing stability and the chance to develop lasting relationships with both students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• SLPA certification valid for practice in educational settings
• Experience or training supporting K-12 student populations
• Strong collaboration skills, working effectively under licensed SLPs
• Highly organized, able to independently create and manage your weekly schedule
• Reliable transportation for commuting between assigned campuses
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy to K-12 students following treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs
• Collect, document, and report student data to track progress
• Assist with the preparation and adaptation of therapy materials
• Support multiple SLPs by managing a flexible schedule across assigned schools
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
