School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Woodbridge, VA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Prince William County. Providing vital services in Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge, this role runs from August 24th, 2026, through June 11th, 2027, with a steady weekday schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day).

• Bachelors degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or Speech/Communication Disorders
• Previous school-based experience or practicum work is highly desired
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and supporting objectives for students with communication needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students with diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting
• SLPA license is not required for this role in the state

What youll do:

• Work closely with certified SLPs to implement therapy plans and provide direct speech/language support to students
• Assist with conducting screenings and language-related activities in a variety of elementary and secondary settings
• Facilitate clear communication and engagement with teachers and families regarding student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, goals, and student progress
• Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and ongoing professional development as needed
