Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Yuma, AZ area. Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
Implement therapy plans, monitor student progress, and adjust treatment goals under the supervision of an SLP.
Conduct screenings to assess speech and language abilities and assist with the evaluation process.
Provide individual and group therapy services based on prescribed treatment plans.
Document therapy sessions, student progress, and other related activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor and support student development.
Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions.
Assist with administrative tasks and maintain compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program.
Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain).
Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
Knowledge of speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and special education support.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team with educators, parents, and other professionals.
