Looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Chicago (K-12)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support K–12 students in a school setting for the 2025–2026 academic year in New Orleans, LA. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for professionals passionate about helping students develop communication skills in a collaborative educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language support services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Implement documented treatment plans and IEP goals

• Work with students in individual and group settings to support communication development

• Assist in preparing materials and maintaining documentation of student progress

• Collaborate with school staff and support teams to promote student success

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding therapy services

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

• Active Louisiana SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain)

• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

• Bilingual candidates (particularly in Spanish/English) are highly encouraged to apply
