We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support K–12 students in a school setting for the 2025–2026 academic year in New Orleans, LA. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for professionals passionate about helping students develop communication skills in a collaborative educational environment.
Provide speech and language support services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Implement documented treatment plans and IEP goals
Work with students in individual and group settings to support communication development
Assist in preparing materials and maintaining documentation of student progress
Collaborate with school staff and support teams to promote student success
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding therapy services
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Active Louisiana SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain)
Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Bilingual candidates (particularly in Spanish/English) are highly encouraged to apply
Starting hourly rate: $40 (based on experience)
