Social Worker in Aurora, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Social Worker for a district in the greater Aurora, IL area. This full-time role provides the chance to make a meaningful difference for K-5th grade students, working onsite with a dedicated team of educators and professionals.

The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through November 4th, 2026, with the potential for extension. As a valued school social worker, youll be an integral part of a vibrant school community, helping ensure the well-being and academic success of every child.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Previous experience in a school setting is essential
• Strong understanding of elementary-aged student needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students in grades K-5
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student challenges
• Lead small group and individual interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
• Assist with crisis intervention and connect families to community resources
• Maintain accurate records and document services as required

This position is onsite only, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM throughout the school year.
