Requirements:

• Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• Proven experience delivering social work services in a school setting
• Strong communication and advocacy skills for working with students, staff, and families

• Knowledge of current best practices in social-emotional learning and behavioral interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted social work interventions and counseling to elementary and preschool students
• Conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning and collaborate on strategies to overcome them
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement support plans
• Facilitate social skills groups, restorative practices, and crisis intervention as needed
