Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support middle school students for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role involves providing social-emotional support, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating with educators and families to promote student well-being and academic success.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling and support to students in accordance with IEPs and school goals
Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic and behavioral concerns
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Connect students and families with community resources and services
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
Valid New York State LMSW or LCSW license
New York State certification as a School Social Worker (Provisional or Permanent)
Experience working with middle school students preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
