School Social Worker Opening - Buffalo, NY

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support middle school students for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role involves providing social-emotional support, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating with educators and families to promote student well-being and academic success.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and support to students in accordance with IEPs and school goals

• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic and behavioral concerns

• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements

• Provide crisis intervention as needed

• Connect students and families with community resources and services

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Valid New York State LMSW or LCSW license

• New York State certification as a School Social Worker (Provisional or Permanent)

• Experience working with middle school students preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
