Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Michigan School Social Worker certification (310) requiredplease provide a copy with your application
• Experience or strong interest in K-12 special education environments
• Able to work onsite for the duration of the contract
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• If not certified, required supervision must be arranged prior to interviewing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to students with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments and develop behavior intervention plans
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on social, emotional, and behavioral issues
• Participate in IEP meetings and support development of student plans
• Collaborate actively with teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Provide crisis intervention and serve as a liaison with community agencies
