Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
• Fully licensed Social Worker or MSW with a Limited License
• One of the following Michigan certifications: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
• Active LARA license
• MDE School Social Worker Approval
• Official University Transcripts
• Experience in school settings and familiarity with intervention strategies for special education students
• Preference for onsite presence; exceptional, experienced candidates may be considered for virtual support
• Ability to indicate preferred grade level (Elementary, Middle, or High School)

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement intervention strategies for special education students individually or in small groups
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create optimal support systems
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere helping students thrive socially and emotionally
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student plans
