School Based Social Worker Role - Full Time

We are hiring an experienced and empathetic School Social Worker to join a school district in Detroit, Michigan. This full-time role is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about helping students overcome challenges and reach their potential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide mental health services and support for students with behavioral or emotional concerns

• Conduct social-emotional assessments and participate in IEP meetings

• Collaborate with families, teachers, and outside agencies to support student success

• Develop intervention plans to address attendance, behavior, and academic barriers

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Michigan School Social Worker license (310 endorsement required)

• At least one year of experience in a school setting

• Strong understanding of IEP process and MTSS
